The Move-MORE clinical trial is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This integrative research study investigates the impact of a multicomponent mindfulness and movement intervention on pain, disability, and overall well-being in adults with chronic lumbosacral radiculopathy, often called “sciatica.” As a Research Assistant on the Move-MORE clinical trial, you will play a key role in supporting the execution of a clinical research study focused on mindfulness and physical activity. Responsibilities include participant recruitment and screening, obtaining informed consent, conducting study visits (e.g., administering patient-reported outcomes, conducting quantitative sensory testing, motion analysis of the lumbar spine), coordinating remote and in-person data collection, data entry and management, and ensuring protocol fidelity in collaboration with the study team. You will assist with clinical assessments, literature reviews, and regulatory documentation to support ongoing trial operations. You may also support the delivery of digital intervention materials and communication with participants between visits. In addition to hands-on clinical research experience, you will have opportunities to contribute to scholarly outputs, including preparing conference abstracts, poster presentations, and co-authoring manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. This position is ideal for naturopathic medical students or Master of Science in Clinical Research students looking to gain applied research experience, deepen their understanding of clinical trial methodology, and participate in evidence generation for patient-centered integrative care.
