Veteran and Military Tuition and Fee Policies

NUNM welcomes veterans and family members of veterans who qualify under the provisions of the United States public laws pertaining to their education.

Veterans Benefits

Any veteran receiving GI Bill® benefits while attending NUNM is required to obtain transcripts from all previously attended schools and submit them to the school for review of prior credit. VA-eligible students must provide a Certificate of Eligibility form to the Office of the Registrar. Veteran students who are Chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, or Chapter 33, Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits will not be imposed with any penalty, including the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual’s inability to meet their financial obligations to the institution due to the delayed disbursement funding from the VA.

Veterans applying to the university with specific questions about the use of veteran benefits for attending National University of Natural Medicine should contact the Office of the Registrar. For information on using veteran benefits, visit the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs

NUNM’s Yellow Ribbon Program

The Yellow Ribbon Program of the Post 9/11 veteran education benefits makes graduate schools and private universities more affordable for veterans. NUNM is a Yellow-Ribbon Institution and as such is designed to help veterans “bridge the gap” caused by schools charging tuition and fees higher than the Post 9/11 veteran education benefits would cover. For more information please contact NUNM’s Registrar Office at 503.552.1603
