Position Summary:
The Facilities Work Study Student supports the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department by assisting with routine maintenance, event setup, cleanliness checks, deliveries, and other tasks as assigned. This position is ideal for students who are reliable, detail-oriented, and interested in learning more about campus operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with setting up and breaking down campus events (tables, chairs, signage, etc.)

Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks under supervision (e.g., replacing light bulbs, painting touch-ups)

Support campus cleanliness by reporting issues and restocking supplies in classrooms and common areas

Help with furniture moves, equipment delivery, and campus recycling efforts

Conduct routine inspections of classrooms, meeting spaces, and restrooms to report facility needs

Run errands and deliver materials across campus

Assist with inventory tracking and organization of maintenance supplies

Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly
Work Schedule:
3–5 hours per week (flexible within Facilities Department needs and student class schedule)
Qualifications: Must be eligible for Federal Work Study Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Basic familiarity with tools and maintenance preferred but not required Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Professional and respectful communication skills
