The Medical Director’s Assistant will provide administrative support to the Medical Director, contributing to the daily operations of NUNM. The role is designed for a Work-Study student to gain valuable experience in healthcare administration and management. The assistant will coordinate administrative tasks, facilitate communication between departments, and support various projects related to patient care and operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in data entry, drafting, editing, and formatting internal memos, reports, and documents.
- Support the coordination of medical documents for audits and attestation requirements.
- Assist with ongoing projects, including those related to patient care quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in research projects or data collection as directed by the Medical Director.
- Organize and maintain office supplies and medical documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director to support the department’s operations.

Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.
- Current enrollment in NUNM, preferably pursuing a degree in naturopathic medicine. Background knowledge in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field would be an added bonus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality (updated yearly HIPAA training).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Â
